I partecipated to the contest for the cover book of Q_6 Stories “Ricordare, Immaginare, Illustrare… Persone, Racconti, Territorio” of Artefatta in collaboration with the municipality of Padova and my illustration actually won First Prize! The winning illustration is the following:
Title: Gente di Paese.
I wanted to showcase the different people who live in our district. Aside from the beautiful stories narrated by our elders which will be the chapters of the book, I tried to give balance of the modern evolution of the district with the memories of what used to be. I didn’t expect to win and it was a lovely surprise indeed. Thank you to Artefatta and congratulations to the other illustration artists who partecipated in this contest.
